Maysem Awadalla is a communications major with a concentration in broadcast journalism. Since her first year at CSUF, Awadalla took on leadership positions in organizations including serving terms as vice president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), marketing chair for the Southwest Asian North African organization (SWANA), events coordinator for the Association for Intercultural Awareness (AICA), and ASI chief inclusion and diversity officer. She is also involved in Titan Radio.

In her free time, she likes to cook, spend time with family and friends, and teach Palestinian dance classes with her mother! Awadalla is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants and small business owners who wanted to give her with as many opportunities as possible. She was taught to encourage others to make a difference and to advocate for what she believes in. Her passion for diversity, equity and inclusion is what motivated her to run for ASI President.
