Joseph Hensley began his banking career at age 18 as a teller while working his way through college. Over a 34-year career, he served with a number of financial institutions.
Mr. Hensley has held various positions early on in the retail side of U.S. Bank since 2007, which culminated in leading the Consumer Lending Group for the regional bank in Louisville, KY. In January 1998, he moved to the commercial side of the bank as a relationship manager. He was named U.S. Banks market president in 2013 and is responsible for growing the Bank’s market share of commercial banking services and financing for companies and non-profit organizations with revenues of $20 million to $500 million.
Mr. Hensley has served on the board of The Healing Place, a homeless shelter and drug and alcohol recovery center and as secretary of the Board of the Center for Non-Profit Excellence. He has served on the campaigns of Greater Louisville Inc., and the Fund for the Arts. He currently serves on the board of directors for United Way in Orange County, the Orange County Business Council and Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
Mr. Hensley graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors of arts in business from McKendree College. He is married and the father of four children and three grandchildren, all of which live in Southern California.
