Haneefah Syed

Haneefah Syed is a fourth-year President’s Scholar double majoring in Political Science and English. She is passionate about social justice, equity, and community engagement. Syed has held leadership roles in the Muslim Student Association and served as Chief Campus Relations Officer within Associated Students Inc. She is also part of the inaugural team at the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) Resource Center. Her work includes an internship with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and research on SWANA American literature with the Department of English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics at Cal State Fullerton. She hopes to attend law school to serve underserved communities. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading and exploring literature to stay grounded.
