Ajá Reneé Clarke is chief of staff to the president and chief executive officer of Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest investor-owned electric utilities.
Since her start at SCE in 2015, Clarke has progressed through various roles, including Senior Manager of Technology Engagement within Asset Strategy and Planning. In this capacity, she spearheaded the strategic development of SCE's Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act (IIJA) project portfolio and crafted a federal grant strategy. Her responsibilities also encompassed evaluating emerging technologies for the grid and forging pivotal partnerships with National Laboratories, research institutes, and universities. Clarke has spent over 18 years in business development and external engagement – serving in marketing and communications roles, leading global thought leadership initiatives and helping companies advance relationships with external organizations, such as government agencies, revenue partners, universities and other key stakeholders.
She earned a Master of Fine Arts from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Redlands, both in creative writing.
She resides in Old Towne Orange, California, with her family.
